The APDA L.I. Chapter, as the local fundraising branch of the APDA, is staffed by volunteers who offer their talents and energies to formulate fundraising activities, as well as assist the Information & Referral Centers with educational programs.  The L.I. Chapter is affiliated with the APDA I&R Centers at NYCOM-NYIT in Old Westbury, and St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown.

Our Achievements:

We have conducted numerous fundraising events that raised thousands of dollars for research.  At the same time, we increased public awareness about Parkinson's Disease.  We also supported a variety of educational programs on Long Island, in cooperation with the APDA Information & Referral Centers.

Our Purpose:

To raise money for research to cure Parkinson's Disease; to inform and educate the general public about this debilitating disease.
